The IDF’s intelligence showed that Iran’s nuclear program had “accelerated significantly,” the military stated on Friday.

This intelligence showed that “the Iranian regime is operating to obtain a nuclear weapon” and that Israel “has been left with no choice” but to conduct airstrikes as part of Operation Rising Lion,” the military added.

The intelligence gathered by the IDF indicated that the “Iranian regime is approaching the point of no return” given the “convergence of efforts to produce thousands of kilograms of enriched uranium, alongside decentralized and fortified enrichment efforts in underground facilities,” which would enable Iran “to enrich uranium to military-grade levels, enabling the regime to obtain a nuclear weapon within a short period of time.”

Iran was advancing a “secret plan for the technological advancement of all parts of the development of a nuclear weapon,” the IDF claimed.

“Senior nuclear scientists in Iran have been working to secretly develop all components needed for developing a nuclear weapon. In recent months, this program has accelerated significantly, bringing the regime significantly closer to obtaining a nuclear weapon,” it said.

'Concrete progress' in Iranian plans to produce nuclear bomb

Israel identified “concrete progress” in Iran’s efforts to produce “weapons components adapted for a nuclear bomb,” particularly since the October 7 massacre and Israel’s war against Iran’s Axis of Resistance, the military commented.

“The world has attempted every possible diplomatic path to stop it, but the regime has refused to stop.”
