Netta Barzilai was the international song contest’s winner in 2018, allowing Israel to host the event this year.

The 2019 Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv was won by Netherlands with the song “Arcade,” performed by Duncan Laurence.

The organization's band made it to the finals of Israel's reality singing competition Hakochav Haba (Rising Star), which selects Israel’s contestant for the Eurovision musical competition.

Netta still shares the apartment with two other women. Her fame has not taken away her desire just to be a regular person.

It will be interesting to see the results next week of the very real voting in the European Parliament elections.

Many felt that Shalva’s performance of “A Million Dreams” was the real winner of Eurovision. The BBC tweeted, “Shalva Band Just one of a million reasons why Eurovision is the Greatest Show.”

Performers with blindness, Down Syndrome and other disabilities wowed millions at Eurovision. They dropped out of the contest so as not to violate Shabbat but were given a special slot.
