COGAT (Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories) is the unit of Israel's Defense Ministry responsible for coordinating civilian issues with the Palestinian Authority in the West Bank and in the Gaza Strip.
It plays a role in Israeli settlement activity in the West Bank and in coordinating Israeli security activity with the Palestinians.
COGAT also helps with facilitating activities of international organizations in the West Bank and Gaza.
"Enough with the lies and accusations — let’s work together to make sure the aid reaches civilians, not Hamas," COGAT said on X.
"We are destroying more and more homes, they have nowhere to return to. The only inevitable outcome will be the desire of Gazans to emigrate outside of the Gaza Strip," Netanyahu stated.
According to the diplomats, it is still unclear which countries would join the project if it moves forward.
