Egypt

Egypt is a country in the Middle East and North Africa region. With a population of well over 100 million people, it is the largest nation in the Arab world and the third largest in Africa in terms of population. Most of its residents live along the Nile River, which flows through the center of the country down through Sudan and beyond. However, it also has cities located in the Sinai Peninsula. Its capital and largest city is Cairo.

Egypt is also home to the Suez Canal, one of the most vital waterways in the world for international commerce, enabling much faster commutes between the Mediterranean Sea and the Red Sea, effectively connecting Europe with East Africa and Asia.
