In a 73-page report released on Monday, Human Rights Watch accused Saudi guards posted along the Yemen border of "widespread and systematic" attacks on migrants.
"Trying to stop migration using the barrel of a gun is intolerable," UN spokesperson Stephane Dujarric told a briefing in New York, adding that the report raised "very serious allegations."
The reason for this substantial amount of immigrants identifying as Christians is that their aliyah is considered a humanitarian act, of reuniting family members.
"Religious state education in Israel serves as an ideal environment for immigrants from Ethiopia and India," said MK Moshe Solomon, who added that these schools need more resources.

The operation comes as violent clashes arose between the Ethiopian Army and the FANO militia in the Amhara province, trapping some 150 Israelis.
The Foreign Ministry is working to help the Israelis and people eligible for aliyah currently trapped in Ethiopia's Gondar region.
Aliyah and Integration Minister Ofir Sofer said that Israel is closely following the state of emergency in Ethiopia due to conflicts in the Amhara region.
The unrest, primarily around the city of Gondar, has seen confrontations between the national military and the local Fano militia.
The circumstances of the kidnapping and the events there remain unclear.
