Biden is expected to secure the help of other G7 countries, France, Germany, Italy, Great Britain, Canada, and Japan, which have already backed the agreement, to pressure Hamas to accept the deal.
Sullivan said there are elements of what Hamas put forward that the White House doesn't think are consistent with what was laid out in the Security Council resolution.
Sullivan did confirm, however, that the US had provided intelligence support to Israel to help it locate the remaining 120 hostages in Gaza, of which eight are US citizens.

“What we have seen so far in terms of Israel’s military operations in that area has been more targeted and limited,” Sullivan said.
Gallant also stressed to Sullivan the importance of ensuring that Israel maintains its strategic military edge.
Sullivan arrived in Israel Sunday from Saudi Arabia where he met with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
The White House said on Friday that Sullivan would visit Saudi Arabia and Israel to discuss bilateral and regional matters, including Gaza and efforts to achieve lasting peace and security in region.
