Jon Stewart is a Jewish-American comedian and host of the popular Comedy Central satirical news program and late-night talk show The Daily Show

Stewart took over the show as host in 1999, replacing the inaugural host Craig Kilborn, and would helm the show until August 2015. He returned to the show as host on February 12, 2024, to start hosting on Monday nights.
