Moshav mevo modiim

The residents of the moshav, most of who are still living in temporary housing, say that the fire was an act of arson, but the government is reluctant to recognize it as such.

A fire, one of many around Israel on May 23, was large enough to have damaged some 794 hectares of land belonging to the Israel Nature and Parks Authority and KKL-JNF.

Miraculously, the core of the moshav was unscathed by the fire that tore through private residences. The beautiful blue interior of the shul is preserved and intact.
