Cohen made a comment against the General Staff, calling them a "bunch of lazy donkeys."
According to a source, the National Security Ministry and Development of the Negev and Galilee and National Resilience Ministry will likely be given to existing ministers from the Likud.
This comes after party leader Itamar Ben-Gvir called the hostage and ceasefire deal reckless.
Ministers from the Religious Zionists Party and Otzma Yehudit, as well as Likud Ministers David Amsalem and Amichai Chikli, voted against the deal.
"Government bills from the National Security Ministry will be reviewed on their merits, and only urgent ones related to national security will be approved," Katz added.
Among Likud voters, opinions are divided: 35% support Ben-Gvir's dismissal, 40% oppose it, and 25% remain undecided.
Ben-Gvir’s comments follow Tuesday’s stormy Knesset session, where Otzma Yehudit voted against the coalition and the "trapped profits" bill, which narrowly passed by a single vote.
