Smuggling

Smugglers had attempted to exploit poor weather conditions and dense fog to cross the border.

While the IDF has launched Operation Iron Wall, designed to increase raids on the terrorists in places like Jenin, the enemy is also better armed than in the past.

Israeli forces took action following a breach of the ceasefire agreement, as Hezbollah sent a surveillance drone into Israeli territory.

A drone was spotted and shot down by the IDF, which found that the drone was carrying 13 weapons and ammunition.

The Lebanese army must deploy in order for Israel to withdraw, and Hezbollah’s presence must end. However, as revealed by the smuggling, Hezbollah is trying to re-arm.

The smuggling routes to the West Bank had two routes: the first passed through Syria to Jordan; the second route began in Syria, through Lebanon, and then weapons were smuggled directly into Israel.

At this stage, no suspects have been arrested, with police "continuing investigative efforts to identify suspects involved in the smuggling."

The tunnel was operated by Hezbollah’s 4400 Unit, which is responsible for the transportation of weaponry from Iran to Lebanon.

The recent terror attack on the 8th of September comes as part of the ongoing smuggling of weaponry and drugs to the West Bank since October 7th.

The suspects, mainly from Israel and Ukraine, were arrested on Monday in central Greece and appeared before a prosecutor on Wednesday.
