The solar alignment occurs on February 22 and October 22 each year, which are days associated with the agricultural and harvest seasons for the ancient Egyptians.
"This is the first time we have a complete set of the decoration of an 18th Dynasty temple," said Zahi Hawass, the Egyptologist who led the excavation project.
