Israel and immigration — or border security — became linked when Republicans said they’d only support aid to Israel and Ukraine if it was paired with significant new US immigration restrictions.

The letter cited a study that said 73 percent of Jewish college students surveyed experienced or witnessed antisemitic incidents on their campuses since the start of the 2023-24 school year.

As an advocate of healthcare as a right and criminal justice reform, Fetterman says "I would be the last man standing to be absolutely there on the Israeli side on this with no conditions.
