Gal Zahavi takes Burgul, adds great garlic flavors and cherry tomatoes to it and puts it in the microwave for quick and precise cooking. The result is either a well-seasoned and tasty hot salad, or an excellent side dish together with meatballs or schnitzels, in any case, the effort here is zero and the result speaks for itself. This nimble wonder is part of "Microwave", a new series of recipes and Tik Tok videos by Sogat Vazhabi, designed to bring network hits into all of our home kitchens.
Ingredients:
- A cup and a half of Sugat's Burgul
- Two cups of boiling water
- Half a teaspoon of salt
- A teaspoon of olive oil
- 10 units of cherry tomatoes cut into halves
- A quarter teaspoon of garlic powder
- Juice of half a lemon
- A little olive oil
Instructions:
1. Cut the cherry tomatoes in half or quarters if they are too large.
2. In a microwave-safe bowl, mix all the ingredients well. Cover the top with a microwavable plate, leave a small opening for steam and cook on high for 12-15 minutes. Note that the exact cooking time depends on the strength of your home microwave, so it's worth checking every 3 minutes.
3. Remove the bowl carefully with a towel and remove the top plate.
4. Allow the bulgur stew to rest for a few minutes and then crumble it a little with a fork. Sprinkle over chopped parsley, juice of half a lemon and a little olive oil and serve.
