In the shadow of continued fighting in the North of Israel, and more than a week after his last public statement, Hassan Nasrallah claimed on Sunday, “After 100 days, Israel has not been able to achieve its declared and undeclared goals in its war against Hamas.
“Israel was not able to destroy the resistance, let alone Hamas’s government. All the areas that were evacuated in the north of the Gaza Strip are currently managed by the Hamas government.
“The enemy was unable to stop the rocket fire, even that emanating from northern Gaza. The Israelis themselves say that after 100 days, Israel is mired in failure, some using the phrase ‘a deep hole’ to describe the situation in which its leaders currently reside. What has it achieved in 100 days, other than death?”
“Israel failed to achieve even a semblance of victory,” Nasrallah added.“Gaza has entered its 100th day of resistance and steadfastness, expressing a legendary, unprecedented fortitude that has not been witnessed before in history,” he stated.
“Gazan, in their resistance, continue to combat the enemy with absolute ingenuity and bravery. The media has played a crucial role in revealing their accomplishments to the world, especially in spite of the enemy’s continuing, strict media censorship.”
Hezbollah’s leader also made the comparison between past Israeli conflicts, whereby Israel’s military was able to defeat several Arab countries’ armies in a matter of days, to the seemingly lengthy time it is taking the state at present to oust Hamas from Gaza and diminish its power and control.
“When Israel’s capabilities were dramatically less advanced than they are today, they were able to defeat a number of Arab armies within six days,” Nasrallah said. “Whereas today, for 100 days now, they have not been able to achieve victory in Gaza.”
Nasrallah also addressed the ongoing tensions in the Red Sea, where the US, the UK, and their allies launched airstrikes across Yemen to target Houthi infrastructure.
Notably, the Houthis have been attacking ships heading for Israel through the Red Sea. He also mentioned Israel’s topical genocide trial brought to the International Court of Justice by South Africa.
“The Americans have taken on the role of trying to subjugate the members of the resistance axis who have been supporting Gaza, attempting to threaten and terrorize them into stopping their support,” Nasrallah announced.
“They have tried this in Yemen, Iraq, and Lebanon to no effect. The events in the Red Sea have left their toll on the occupying entity and its economy, and revealed its true nature to the world, as seen via what is happening today in The Hague.”
Israeli citizens killed by Hezbollah missile
Two Israeli citizens were killed on Sunday at their place of residence near the northern border by an anti-tank missile launched from Lebanon. They were later identified as 40-year-old Barak Ayalon and his mother, Mira, who was in her 70’s.
Ayalon was part of Kfar Yuval’s emergency response squad. His father was also seriously injured in the missile attack.
The IDF responded by targeting an operational command post as well as one other military target belonging to the Lebanon-based Iranian terrorist proxy, Hezbollah, on Sunday, the IDF stated.
Hezbollah could turn the entirety of Lebanon into a war zone, IDF Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi said in a Saturday evening address.
