Following the assassination of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah in the Dahieh neighborhood of the Lebanese capital of Beirut, the IDF announced on Sunday that over 20 additional terrorists were killed in the same strike, four of whom were commanders.
The commanders eliminated
According to an IDF report, the head of Nasrallah's security unit, Ibrahim Hossein Jazini, was eliminated, along with his adviser Samir Toufik Div, head of recruitment Abdel Amir Muhammad Sablini, and chief of firearms, Ali Na'af Ayyub.
According to the IDF, Jazini and Dib were some of the people closest to Nasrallah, constituting a significant hub of knowledge regarding the day-to-day of Hezbollah at large and Nasrallah in particular.
The strike had taken place at Hezbollah's central headquarters in the heart of Beirut, under civilian buildings and near UN schools.
The military noted that the air force carried out multiple additional strikes in the same neighborhood of southern Beirut on Sunday, the most recent of which was announced by the IDF on Sunday afternoon.
