The IAF conducted a precise strike on Monday that eliminated Suhail Hussein Husseini, Commander of the Hezbollah terrorist organization headquarters in the Beirut area, the IDF announced the following day.

Husseini, a member of Hezbollah's Jihad Council, participated in weapon transfers between the terror group and Iran and was responsible for distributing the advanced weaponry among Hezbollah’s units.

The headquarters oversees Hezbollah's logistics and manages the terror group's various units.

Hezbollah's Research and Development Unit is also part of the headquarters that Husseini oversaw, which was used for manufacturing missiles and managing the storage and transportation of weapons in Lebanon.

Husseini was also part of the budgeting and management of Hezbollah's operations, including terrorist attacks against Israel and Syria from Lebanese territory.

Speaking on the Hezbollah's official's elimination

Shortly after reports of Husseini's elimination, an interview with IDF Maj.-Gen. Guy Tzur was published by 103FM, where he said that "despite the impressive assassinations, Israel failed in one thing: military action must come with political goals.

Regarding the Hezbollah leader's elimination, Tzur said that he is "not a supporter of any individual assassination, but what happened here is the chain of assassinations that is destroying their entire chain of command, and it must continue."

"This is an unusual force that we have created against Hezbollah. I think it affects more the lack of ability that we see than their lack of physical ability. The activity of the IDF against Hezbollah is truly extraordinary; it must be continued until it is possible to return to implementing UN Resolution 1559."
