Alongside Nasrallah, four Hezbollah commanders killed in Dahieh strike

Over 20 additional terrorists were also killed in the strike that eliminated Nasrallah in Beirut, the IDF stated.

Following the assassination of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah in the Dahieh neighborhood of the Lebanese capital of Beirut, the IDF announced on Sunday that over 20 additional terrorists were killed in the same strike, four of whom were commanders.

The strike was achieved by Israel Air Force jets guided by intelligence information.

Nabil Kaouk, chief of Hezbollah's preventive security unit and a member of the terror group's council, was eliminated by the IDF in Lebanon on Saturday, the military announced on Sunday. 

The strike was achieved by Israel Air Force jets guided by intelligence information, the IDF added.

US Defense Sec. Austin furious with Gallant over lack-of-notice on Nasrallah strike

Multiple times, the US has urged Israel to act less aggressively or not to take certain actions against Hezbollah, to avoid a larger regional war.

US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin was furious with Defense Minister Yoav Gallant and Israel when he was informed with very little notice that the IDF was about to kill Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah, The Jerusalem Post has learned.

However, a US defense official said that the description of the call between Austin and Gallant was overstated and that a more accurate description would be that Austin was firm and candid in his conversation with Gallant.

'Settling the account': IDF kills Nasrallah in heart of Beirut

New Hezbollah chief still to be named as group’s response weak so far • Military predicts his end could change region

F-15I aircraft from the 69th fighter squadron at 6:20 p.m. on Friday night dropped close to 100 bombs on Hezbollah’s underground headquarters in the heart of Beirut, killing the terror group’s chief of 32 years, Hassan Nasrallah, and potentially reordering the region.

Nasrallah was killed, alongside other Hezbollah commanders including Ali Karaki, Hezbollah’s new military chief designate and current commander of the southern front, whom the IDF has just missed killing last week.

The attack involved a decade of intelligence collected both by the IDF and the Mossad as well as a variety of last-minute deceptions to ensure that Nasrallah would not flee the area.
