Unprecedented Lebanese drone attack wounds 40 near Binyamina, four in critical condition

Three UAVs were launched toward Israel, but one of the UAVs penetrated deep into Israel, crashing in the Binyamina area. No alarms were activated.

A UAV crashed in the area of Binyamina in northern Israel, wounding at least 40 people, with at least three in critical condition.

A helicopter arrived at the scene to evacuate the wounded. 

The UAV was sent from Lebanon under the cover of a rocket barrage.

US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin authorized the deployment of a Terminal High-Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) battery in Israel, along with American military personnel to operate it, the Department of Defense stated on Sunday.

25 IDF soldiers were hospitalized after being wounded in combat in southern Lebanon, according to Israeli media reports. The IDF stated that as of Sunday afternoon, over 115 projectiles were fired at Israel by Hezbollah.

IDF carries out 200 attacks in Lebanon, Hezbollah continues to strike the North

IDF strikes Hezbollah’s infrastructure in Lebanon after over 150 rockets hit Israel on Yom Kippur, but rocket fire continues.

The IDF carried out 200 air strikes against Hezbollah targets across Lebanon over the last 24 hours while also maintaining four divisions, destroying the terror group's south Lebanon infrastructure, they announced on Sunday. However, it still failed to substantially reduce rocket fire on the home front.

Over Yom Kippur, Hezbollah pounded Israel with over 150 rockets, sending one million Israelis into safe rooms and bomb shelters.

Hezbollah also succeeded at striking a residential area in Herzliya with a drone.

Rocket sirens sound in Haifa, Acre, Nahariya, and across Israel's North

On Sunday, starting at 09:01 a.m., several rocket sirens sounded in Haifa and its bayside suburbs, as well as Acre and Nahariya. 

Following the sirens, the military noted that five rockets had crossed into Israeli territory from Lebanon and had been intercepted by the IDF.
