REPORTER’S NOTEBOOK: The IDF is in a defensive posture in the north. Forces are constantly training for what may come next.

"A short while ago, a number of launches that were identified from Lebanon fell in the area of Hurfeish in northern Israel. No sirens were sounded, the incident is under review," the IDF said.

Qassem Saqlawi, a Hezbollah commander responsible for coordinating rocket and missile fire at Israel from Lebanon's coast, was eliminated by Israeli forces.

The IDF succeeded in shooting down a second attack drone launched by Hezbollah and was probing how it could avoid similar future incidents.

Several buildings and an ambulance were hit by the rockets. Nearly 100 rockets had been fired at northern Israel as of Sunday afternoon.

With the war in Gaza continuing to rage, Israel's northern border is at an anxious standstill, with consistent Hezbollah cross-border firing and evacuated residents longing for home.

When war broke out on October 7, Israel's hospitals faced shock and astonishment, with medical centers learning lessons and adapting to a possible confrontation with Hezbollah.

The wounded have been referred to the Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya, Magen David Adom stated.

The newly announced funds will extend direct support to all 39 communities that have been evacuated from the northern front-line areas.
