Masoud Pezeshkian is the president-elect of the Islamic Republic of Iran, elected following the death of his predecessor, Ebrahim Raisi, in a helicopter crash.
Pezeshkian is considered a reformist and has been a politician for decades. He is set to be inaugurated on July 30.
The Kremlin chief signed the agreement with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian in January.
The report came amid suggestion that Russia had sent officials to Iran during the 15-month war between Hamas and Israel.
The dismissal comes just six months after President Masoud Pezeshkian’s government took office, intensifying the debate over the nation’s deepening economic crisis.
Iranian state media said that Iran’s “president acknowledges he shifted position on negotiating with the US to match [Supreme] Leader’s stance.”
Zarif had already been at the center of controversies in Iran because some politicians had critiqued him over the last several months.

"We will bring them down as we brought down the projects before them," Hamas Gaza chief said.

Russia has cultivated closer ties with Iran and other countries hostile towards the United States, such as North Korea, since the start of the Ukraine war.
